As a self proclaimed cinephile and semi-professional film reviewer, there are a few embarrassing holes in my catalog of films viewed. This is a bit of a pet project of mine for the summer; an attempt to rectify these glaring omissions, if you will. The goal: watch one movie a day (weekdays only, my weekends are set aside for doing stupid shit to make a fool out of myself), and provide preliminary critique/commentary. Please don’t take these as flat out recommendations or disparagement. Those are what my “legit” reviews are. I also won’t be doing review for any new release films. Fridays are for my Book to Film column, which is more or less me ripping off the A.V. Club. Weekends may see random stuff get posted.

To be upfront, this is very much a personal project. I seek to improve my ability to write and think about films meaningfully and lucidly through writing these mini-reviews. Whether or not you find them funny, insightful, shoddily written or offensive is of no concern to me. In fact, I’m not entirely sure why you’re reading this right now. I don’t have any stalkers, do I?
